Not the deathwing, but still fun to look at...

Those are just a few minis I have completed other than my in the process DW. I really have to say I like painting individual models more so than groups and squads. I think I am going to start broadening my horizons as far as models go, more Warmachine, Hordes and looking into the Chronicles miniatures as well.

Threw some videos on the YouTube just as an intro to the viewers.

Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/user/geomanalpha
...so if you get the chance go check em' out. From now on I will make sure to post them on here as well.

No updates on the DW, but we will see what can be done over the weekend.

Good gaming!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!!!

Yep the holiday that celibates the countdown to Christmas... I mean a time to remember the things we are thankful for.

This was a rather joyous Thanksgiving I was able to spend with my better half, her brother and a close friend of mine. We cooked, we fried the turkey, we ate, we drank, and we watched some football. Have to love Thanksgiving...

Here is a picture of our stupendous spread...

Happy Holidays and Good Gaming!!!

Ok so on with the update. All the termies are assembled along with the crusaders and painting has commenced.

I'll start with Belial

So I really enjoyed bashing this guy together; added some height, used the space marine sergeant front torso, added a belt made of crux's, and used the ravenwing symbol on the banner just because I like.

Next up will be the LRC:

First time building one of these guys, and let me just say it was great fun. I will admit tho... the new ones with the plastic options are probably a lot easier to build just in the regard to the hurricane bolters. I added plastruct to the armor to add a little extra along with some DW symbols. Here is the size I used for the plastruct:

Now for some painted minis...

So the painting recipe is pretty easy for the bone:
1. white primer
2. thinned down bleached bone (2-3 coats)
3. highlight 50:50 bleached bone and skull white
4. edge highlight with skull white
5. controlled wash of fortress grey (almost a glaze)
6. i then do the pipping with a 50:50 of boltgun metal and codex gray
7. finish it off by black lining with a thinned down mix 40:60 chaos black and catachan green

turns out great!!!

The librarian you see is an old conversion I did and thought I would paint him up with these guys while I wait for them to dry in between sessions.

Have some tips coming up tomorrow... till then off to bed.

Good gaming!!!

The begining...

So let's put something fun to look at on this old blog...

So what might this be...if you guessed a deathwing army give yourself a golden star!!! Right now I have drafted up just a friendly 1500 pt list consisting of:

Dread w/plasma

2 Deathwing Squads w/ Assault Cannon and chainfist

1 Deathwing Squad w/Assault Cannon

2 LR Crusaders

So as you can see it's not amazingly competitive, but should be fun to play. More to come gamers!!!

Hello all...

So this will be the first entry of many. . .

Quick intro, I am addicted to wargaming, tabletop miniatures, and rolling dice. Specifically, I am into Warhammer 40k, Fantasy, and Warmachine. With that said I have painted many armies and have let them find new homes and only playing three games of 40k in the process. A big suprise I know, but enjoy the modelling and painting aspect quite a bit.

Now though I have a 1500 point deathwing army that is built and in the begining stages of painting. Once there is some actual paint I will begin to post some pictures.

I will mainly use this blog to show the completion of armies I am working on along with other tips and tutorials for painting and modeling and hope you all enjoy.
